We draw the attention of all intending clients to these documents prior to service being provided. A client's willingness to participate in any session will be taken by Lucy McCarraher, Annabel Shaw and MyWonderfulLifeSelfHelp.com to mean that they have read, understood and accepted all clauses of the above Disclaimer and Agreement.
 

DISCLAIMER

  1. Lucy McCarraher, Annabel Shaw and other practitioners associated with MyWonderfulLifeSelfHelp.com, do not claim to have legally recognised qualifications or authority to be counsellors, coaches or therapists. We act as mentors or guides for those who choose to contact us out of concern for their own personal journey in pursuit of happiness, fulfillment and/or liberation from suffering.
  2. Our service has been designed and is provided for people in a state of normal mental and physical health and functioning, to help them to achieve greater satisfaction and fulfillment. It is not designed to treat, diagnose, cure or alleviate symptoms of any kind of mental or physical illness.
  3. Our service is offered in good faith and any advice or instruction provided in any interaction clients may have with Lucy McCarraher, Annabel Shaw or MyWonderfulLifeSelfHelp.com should not be seen by them as a substitute for the professional advice of medical doctors, psychiatrists or clinical psychologists. In all cases it is the responsibility of each client to seek appropriate professional treatment for any symptoms of disease or disorder that they may be experiencing.
  4. Lucy McCarraher, Annabel Shaw and MyWonderfulLifeSelfHelp.com are not able to give any warranty or guarantee that personal problems (either expressed or implied) presented by a client can or will be resolved.
  5. Lucy McCarraher, Annabel Shaw and MyWonderfulLifeSelfHelp.com do not accept any liability or responsibility for any consequences of a client's use of its services -- beneficial or otherwise. A client's use of the advice or information provided in a session, their interpretation of what they see or hear in such sessions or any effects on them or others which they attribute to such sessions is their responsibility alone.
  6. In no event shall Lucy McCarraher, Annabel Shaw, MyWonderfulLifeSelfHelp.com or its employees be liable to any person(s) for any loss or damage of any kind which may occur as a result of the service(s) it provides.
     

AGREEMENT

  1. Confidentiality — I understand that Lucy McCarraher, Annabel Shaw and MyWonderfulLifeSelfHelp.com will protect my private and confidential information by all reasonable means. Furthermore, that Lucy McCarraher, Annabel Shaw and MyWonderfulLifeSelfHelp.com will store and maintain my electronic and hardcopy information in accordance with the Privacy Act. I understand and accept that if, in the mind of Lucy McCarraher, Annabel Shaw or any other employee of MyWonderfulLifeSelfHelp.com, there seems to be a real likelihood of harm being done to a client, or harm to others being done by a client, Lucy McCarraher, Annabel Shaw and MyWonderfulLifeSelfHelp.com reserve the right to make a report to an appropriate authority.
  2. Emergency Situations — I agree that, if at any time, I feel, think or believe I am in a crisis situation and require emergency assistance, I will not rely solely on Lucy McCarraher, Annabel Shaw and MyWonderfulLifeSelfHelp.com and will seek appropriate assistance elsewhere. (For example, by phoning Emergency - '999'; The Samaritans 24-hour crisis counseling line – 08457 90 90 90, or a local doctor/hospital).
  3. Referrals — I accept that Lucy McCarraher, Annabel Shaw and MyWonderfulLifeSelfHelp.com have a duty of care to all clients and that I may be referred to a service other than Lucy McCarraher, Annabel Shaw and MyWonderfulLifeSelfHelp.com if Lucy McCarraher or Annabel Shaw decides that they are unable to assist me.
  4. Copyright — I understand and agree that I will comply with Copyright Laws and will not distribute Lucy McCarraher, Annabel Shaw or MyWonderfulLifeSelfHelp.com’s printed, e-mail or other communications in a way that is inappropriate, disrespectful or harmful to myself or others (including Lucy McCarraher, Annabel Shaw and MyWonderfulLifeSelfHelp.com).
  5. Legal Jurisdiction — I understand and accept that the Lucy McCarraher, Annabel Shaw and MyWonderfulLifeSelfHelp.com service is governed and bound by the laws of the United Kingdom.
  6. Fees — I understand and accept that Lucy McCarraher, Annabel Shaw and MyWonderfulLifeSelfHelp.com fees are to be paid prior to each session, and that full payment is necessary to secure any booking. I agree that the session will conclude at the end of the agreed time. I agree that this payment is non-refundable if cancelled with less than 24 hours notice (except in the case of a medical emergency). I accept that fees are not refundable (except under extraordinary circumstances).
  7. Termination of Services — I understand and accept that Lucy McCarraher, Annabel Shaw and MyWonderfulLifeSelfHelp.com may decline to offer services at any time and that in this case a reason(s) will be provided to me.
  8. I (the person applying for Lucy McCarraher, Annabel Shaw and MyWonderfulLifeSelfHelp.com’s services) acknowledge and assert that I —
    • Am not feeling suicidal; nor contemplating harming myself in any way, nor am I relying solely on Lucy McCarraher, Annabel Shaw and MyWonderfulLifeSelfHelp.com for assistance with my personal concerns.
    • Am eighteen (18) years of age or over.
